The Willow Street food pantry
Groceries for our neighbours on the north side of Marietta, offered with dignity and without a lot of questions.
Ask about the pantryHow it works
Simple, respectful and open to the neighbourhood.
For anyone who needs it
You don't have to attend Willow Street, or any church, to shop the pantry. If groceries are tight this month, that's reason enough. Call the office to find out when we're open and what we have on the shelves.
Real food, real choice
Shelf-stable staples, fresh produce when donations allow, plus household and personal-care basics that food benefits don't cover. Where we can, we let people choose their own items rather than handing over a pre-packed box.
Give groceries
Rice, beans, pasta and sauce, canned protein, peanut butter, cereal, nappies and toiletries move fastest. Drop-offs can be arranged through the office โ just call ahead so someone's there to meet you.
Give an hour
The pantry runs entirely on volunteers who sort, stock, carry and chat. It's a good job for anyone who likes to be useful and doesn't mind lifting a box. Email the office if you'd like to join a shift.
Why we do it
A church on a residential street learns quickly what its neighbours are carrying. The pantry started because people we knew were choosing between the power bill and the grocery run, and it has kept going because that choice hasn't gone away. We try to run it the way we'd want to be served ourselves: no lectures, no hoops, no sense that you owe us anything. Take what you need. Come back when you need to.
Need groceries, or want to help stock the shelves?
Either way, the church office is the place to start.
