There's a seat here with your name on it

Willow Street Church is a small neighbourhood congregation on the north side of Marietta. We gather on Sundays to worship, on Wednesdays to eat together, and all week long to look after the people around us.

Plan your first visit

What you can expect

No pressure, no performance — just an honest welcome and a place to belong.

🚪

Come as you are

Some folks wear their Sunday best, most don't. Sit near the back if you'd rather watch for a while. Nobody will single you out or ask you to stand up and introduce yourself.

🤝

Small enough to know your name

We're a congregation you can actually get your arms around. Within a few weeks people will remember how you take your coffee and ask about your week.

🧸

Kids are welcome in the room

Wiggles, snack crumbs and questions out loud are all part of worship here. We'd rather hear a toddler than a silent sanctuary.

🌾

Faith with its sleeves rolled up

Our food pantry, our Wednesday table and our youth group all come from the same conviction: love for a neighbourhood is something you do, not something you announce.

The rhythms of our week

Four steady things we do together, year in and year out.

✝️

Sunday worship

Scripture, familiar hymns and a few newer songs, prayer for the things actually weighing on us, and a sermon that respects your intelligence. Coffee and conversation afterward in the fellowship hall.

🍲

Wednesday supper

A hot, home-cooked meal on long tables, cooked by volunteers and open to anyone who's hungry — members, neighbours, students, first-timers. Bring a dish if you can, come empty-handed if you can't.

🥫

The food pantry

Shelf-stable groceries, fresh produce when we have it, and household basics, offered with dignity and without a lot of paperwork. We serve our neighbours on the north side of Marietta, no questions about church membership.

🎒

Youth group

Middle and high schoolers meeting for games, honest conversation, service projects around the neighbourhood and the occasional catastrophic amount of pizza. A safe place to ask hard questions out loud.

A neighbourhood church, on purpose

Willow Street Church has never been the biggest congregation in Marietta, and we stopped trying to be a long time ago. What we are is close by — a church you can walk to, drop by, drop off a bag of groceries at, and be known in. Our building is small and well-used: worship on Sunday, supper on Wednesday, pantry shelves stocked in between, and teenagers filling the fellowship hall with noise. If you're looking for a place where showing up matters more than being impressive, you'll fit right in.
